MINDY'S NAKED GIN & TONIC

Ingredients

  • (Tonic Water) Ice Cubes
  • 3 ounces gin
  • Tonic water
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice
  • Lemon or Lime wedge
  • Optional - A sprig of rosemary and/or cucumber slices for garnish

Fill you glass with ice cubes. Combine gin with lemon or lime juice. Top it off with tonic water. Decorate your potion with garnish. Sip slowly & enjoy! Serves 1.

Notes on the Elements:

  • The quality of your gin makes a difference
  • Use tonic that is ice-cold and freshly opened from the can or bottle. You want as much carbonation as possible, there is nothing worse than a flat G & T. Alternately, Mindy likes to make tonic ice cubes from almost-flat left-from-the-party bottles of tonic. This ice will be slightly fluffier and intensifies the tonic flavor.
  • Lemon or Lime? It's a personal choice. Mindy prefers Lemon in spring and Lime in summer. Pick what you'd like or experiment with both!
  • Your glassware is personal as well! If you are wanting a ‘thin’ gin, go for a tall glass. You're likely to use less tonic in a short fat glass, so your drink would be less sweet and stronger in gin. Choose accordingly.
