Apsaras (or nymph) of Hindu mythology are spiritual beings known for their seduction and dancing. These old hand-carved, wood statues were used in many festivals of the Hindu religion.Signs indicate these statues were painted over many times depending on the current festival. Statues' right hand holds flags, banners, or could make a good light fixture. Great, versatile item for stores.Their most recent use was for decoration of a dance school in Jodhpur, India.
